ECRES Mission:
To promote environmental awareness and stewardship within the University community, including
recommendations for programs and activities for faculty, staff, and students;
To research and evaluate current procedures for controlling environmental factors,
with anticipation of recommending policies to ensure a better working environment;
To recommend policies and procedures to aid in the development/maintenance of an environmentally sound physical environment while maintaining
the balance between affordability and stewardship.

EKU has become a member of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). This is a member-based association of colleges and universities working to advance sustainability in higher education in the US and Canada. The AASHE website contains numerous resources related to campus sustainability efforts. Everyone on campus is covered by AASHE membership, and can login to AASHE following these instructions:
From the home page (www.aashe.org) click on member login or follow this link http://www.aashe.org/members/memberlogin.php Click create new account. Use your campus email address as your user name. You will receive a password in the inbox of the email account you used for the user name. Go back to the login page, enter your email in the user name box and type or paste the password that was emailed to you in the password box. That will give you access to all of our locked resources. All faculty, staff and students on campus can use their own email to create login credentials for themselves.
